Anna Leigh Donado

Anna Leigh paints with oils, acrylics, and chalk pastels. She works mostly with portraits and is also fond of book-making and collage work. For almost twenty years she worked with Juan creating Goose Grease Shop, a fair-trade company that employed over ten female artisans in Bogotá, Colombia, specializing in hand-painted miniatures that were sold in museums all over the world. Within that work, she painted thousands of custom dolls for families, brides, and museums. Since then, Juan and Anna have grown their art school in Brooklyn, NY, Goose Grease House for the Arts, where they have now focused all of their energy. They teach over 150 students weekly, instructing kids in history and art through project-based lessons.
